Lejano Oriente was runnerd-up, two lengths and a half behind Equal Van (Van Nistelrooy), at the Clásico Coronel Miguel F. Martínez (G 2-1800 metres) and earned the 15,000 pesos of the Bonus Estrellas Plus, for being the best qualified between the 3 year-old nominatedfor for that programme in the Palermo Racetrack's stakes. Lejano Oriente is Mutakkdim’s son, was bred by La Quebrada Stud Farm and his owner is Las Canarias Stable.
